A few of us kitting up for war!

After splitting us into Reds and Blues, and teaming us up with some random other people, we were off to battle. Games were played twice giving each side a chance to attack and defend in each zone. Congrats to the reds for winning most.

Who was the best fighter? No idea, but the following is worthy of note: Jude's gritty defence of the Blues' last hut under a hail of fire, a position from where she also got most spectacular kill of the day; an advancing Red slipped backwards as she poked her gun out, looking for all the world like she'd just blown him away. Hilarious!

Zoe was the early leader in 'most bruised' but was pipped to the post by Jude's giant purple knee and Max's pebble-dashed back, sustained in the bravest (or possibly most stupid) raid on the Reds' base.

Josh and Aidan earned bonus points for suicide runs in the closing seconds of a couple of battles, Josh being particularly worthy of scoring since he didn't have any ammo!

James won the conservation of ammo award for realising he was the only one with anything left and winning a game for the blues by making Joey and Rach surrender.

Trigger-happy loon is currently being claimed by Taff for getting 4 kills with 300+ bullets in the last pair of games, if anyone can beat that let me know.

Muppet of the day had several contenders: Max losing his shoe in a muddy bog at the start of one game was quickly overshadowed by the numerous 'friendly fire' incidents and the endless ammo spills in the holding area, but the winner was undoubtedly Rachel. Spotting a group of onrushing players, she let loose a volley of shots only to discover her targets were a bunch of kids playing another game in the next zone - and were protected by a 14 foot high boundary net!

In a stroke of genius, Ian and Lee went in opposite sides, thus ensuring they'd seek each other out time after time. - Who got the most kills though boys?

And here we all are muddy, sweaty, caked in paint and still smiling!
