City round off season in style
16 on the scoresheet as two more wins finish the season
Another excellent display of the club's strength in depth proved too much for
Bristol Uni as they were sent packing 13-8 by the seconds and 15-10 by the
firsts. The two squads had little difficulty overcoming some reorganisation and
missing players to defeat a club who's progress over the last few months has
been little short of incredible, but they've still some way to go to catch the
Royal blue machine :-) Results and

City Seconds make it a double celebration!!!
Firsts win again despite scare
Both teams had to come from behind against a rejuvenated Cardiff Uni club whose
athletic and aggressive style put us off our stride. In the end experience won
the day as both City teams produced second half onslaughts to take us to 6-5
and 13-5 victories. The reserves' unbeaten run means that we have two champion
teams in the club. Well done! Results

City Experiment for Experience
City entered two teams in the annual Cardiff Uni tournament. With several high
scoring players unavailable or playing injured, City mixed and matched to give
everyone the best chance of gaining some experience. After a solid morning's
play a series of narrow defeats in the afternoon playoffs put City in 4th and
10th, but with everyone (more or less) on the scoresheet a splendid day's
learning was had. Results Here.

 City
firsts are EKL Champions!!!
Second team barely catchable
With a thumping 21-2 win over Exeter, Cardiff City firsts went to the brink of
the EKL championship, then when other results went our way later in the day, we
became the league winners with 2 games to go! The second team battled to an 8-6
victory over Exeter's 1.5 :-) team and we are now well clear in the reserve
division title race. Only an almighty crash will see us fail to take this
division too. Congratulations everyone!!!

 City
stretching out at the summit.
Two big wins over a rebuilding Bristol Uni side saw Cardiff City stretch their
leads at the top of both divisions. Pam was the hat-trick hero of a 13-3 win
for the seconds while 7 of us found the scoresheet for the firsts' 12-2
victory.Results and write-up here

 City back
on top!
A win and a draw were enough to send both Cardiff City teams to the top of
their divisions. The firsts triumphed 11-7 with some excellent teamwork, while
the seconds weathered am early second half onslaught and came back to snatch a
6-6 draw. Results and write-up here

City claim top spot (s!)
The long climb to the summit of the EKL has finally been achieved, as
hard-fought wins for both sides over Horfield leave Cardiff City at the top of
both divisions. The first team weathered a second half comeback to run out 14-9
winners while a first half demolition job saw the seconds home 7-3.

Seconds Shine at Bristol
A hastily assembled development side featuring a couple of players who have
scarcely even appeared for the second team went out to do battle in the latest
SWKA non-league mini-tournament. A fine performance ensued with other
development sides comfortably defeated and a valuable learning experience for
many present. Results Here.

City come up trumps in Cardiff Derby
With both Cardiff clubs undergoing large expansion in the last year the
bi-anuual Cardiff Derby match-up has become a massive occasion, and this
season's first encounter has proved the biggest of the lot. With both sides
bringing a whole team of subs, we were able to stage a third match after the
two league games, and a total of 48 Korfballers from Cardiff took to the court.
Happily enough for Cardiff City, our three sides all triumphed as experience
ruled. The first team won 11-2, the seconds 6-4 and the 'other' match finished
4-0. All Results Here. Write-ups

City Seconds out-score the firsts in double win
This weekend's matches saw the first team battle to a hard fought 12-8 win over
an Exeter side which seems to be improving by the minute. No such trouble for
the mighty seconds who roared to an emphatic 13-3 win over their Exeter
counterparts and outscored their own first team!

City out of BKA cup already
Opposition from higher divisions were much too classy for Cardiff City as our
first foray into the BKA cup ended with a pair of defeats. A well worthwhile
venture though, with plenty of lessons learned and an enjoyable time spent with
Supernova and Nomads. Results
