Cardiff City’s indoor training resumes this Wednesday, the 7th September at Michaelston Activity Centre in Cardiff (see right hand side for directions).

If you are a new player, your first two sessions are free, so you have nothing to loose! Just turn up and we will explain the sport to you. You will even get a chance to play a match at the end of the training session, simplez!.

This year, we have two new coaching coordinators (Susan and Julie) which promises to bring a better standard and organisation of training to the City players. We look forward to it!

Cardiff City Korfball Club is now on summer break. Training will resume after the Cardiff Summer Tournament (the tournament is on Sat 20th Aug).

With the sights and sounds of the Korflite League drifting over Roath Rec, along with some very tasty barbequed delights, the competitive nature of Korf really took hold. It has been great to see new people catching on to different skills and really having a go throughout the league. The improvement each week has been fantastic.

Massive congratulations to the Knight Riders team who have won the inaugular Cardiff Korflite Summer League!

After a wash-out the previous week, last Wednesday’s weather was kinder. This allowed us to complete the Korflite league and crown this year’s winners, who korfed hard to beat the opposition!

Due to the adverse weather last week, the schedule has been revised to allow all teams to complete their matches on the 13th July. This means we have a new start time of 6.30pm.

There will be a BBQ, refreshments and sweets available on the night for those coming to korflite straight from work.

Looking forward to seeing you all there, and to crowning the first ever Cardiff Korflite Champions!

Korflite is a great concept, and it has been executed brilliantly by the organisers. If the mission was to draw in newcomers to korfball and to remind old-timers about the many benefits of the sport, it has certainly been accomplished. To my mind, korflite has rivalled touch rugby as a competitive, fun and mixed activity over the summer months.
